The fiberglass body is finished in Marlboro Maroon (988AA) and features split chrome bumpers, aluminum rocker-panel moldings, fender gills, and dual exhaust outlets with chrome tips that extend through the rear valance. Since being recommissioned, this C2 convertible has earned a Bloomington Gold Survivor Bronze certificate and an NCRS Second Flight award, and it is now offered with an owner’s manual, an uninstalled Al Knoch soft top, the removed fuel tank, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.

A subsequent mechanical refurbishment is said to have included rebuilding the numbers-matching 327ci V8, refreshing the fuel system, rebuilding the brakes, and replacing the tires. The transmission, clutch assembly, and driveshaft were removed, and the car remained in storage in a partially disassembled state until the seller acquired the vehicle in November 2018.

Its original owner reportedly drove the car until the clutch failed in 1976 with just over 35k miles showing on the odometer. This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was sold new at Allen Chevrolet of Forest Park, Illinois in November 1966.
